This is at least the 5th Rick Steves travel book we have purchased and we are hooked. It is easy to navigate and the recommendations are wonderful. We have never struck out following his guidance and his free walking tours have enriched our vacations. We already ordered his Greece book for our next vacation.

Rick Steves Portugal (Travel Guide) was an invaluable resource in planning our vacation to Portugal this summer. The guide is packed with useful information, insightful tips, and well-organized itineraries that made our trip much more enjoyable. It helped us discover hidden gems and navigate the must-see spots with ease. We thoroughly enjoyed using this guide and would highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Portugal. It’s a great asset for making the most out of your vacation!

Rick Steves does such a great job of these travel books – suggestions for what, when and where to see key attractions, helpful itinerary suggestions, how to visit most time-efficiently, brief history of the country.

Bought many Rick Steve travel books, they’re loaded with useful tips and information. Plan on bringing it to an upcoming trip to Portugal.

This book is a wonderful guide to navigate Portugal beyond the touristy spots. It guides you in great detail on where to find beautiful landmarks areas that you would normally miss unless you knew where to look. Rick Steves always has great cost-saving tips and suggestions for lodging, restaurants, and routes to drive should you choose to explore on your own. This book is very detailed and any question you may have about traveling in Portugal is answered here.

When we do not have time to do extensive research on travel we know that we can wing it and use Rick Steve’s books and all will be fine. Now we just use Rick and do not bother spending days and days on travel planning. We finished Camino St James with no other plans and took off to Lisbon with no plans and we are ending up in awesome places with spectacular food! Thanks Rick. We have children in Europe, so we try to over twice a year. We always plan a side trip to see another country while there. The plan this fall is to go to Portugal. Rick Steves’ books always help when planning to go. We’ve stayed in hotels that he recommended, eaten in restaurants that he recommended and seen all kinds of sights that he recommended. Always happy with his suggestions.

Extremely helpful in planning and executing our return to Portugal trip. They always provide current tips and tricks and links. The tear out maps are a must have and very helpful pre trip. We rented a car this trip so these worked great when Wi-Fi left us in the middle of nowhere.Amazing how much Portugal has changed in the 25 years since we last visited. Thank you for keeping things current. Much appreciated.
