Perfect for bug out bag SHTF prep. A poncho would work but this packs small is a great option.

It is a great deal and the heat reflective material works well. keep in mind it is a super thin plastic that will puncture or tear pretty easily, kinda like a trash bag. Not a flaw just a limitation of keeping it lightweight and compact. An improvement that could be made is a built in clip or grommet or something to hold the tarp on the line its hung from.

It definitely does what it’s supposed to. The insulation feature works a little too good because in return for reflecting back your own body heat, as you yourself release heat the moisture from your breath ends up on the material. Other than that, I am grateful for this product.
